ABOUT ABRAPAV

The Brazilian Association of Aviation Psychology, ABRAPAV, was created on August 27, 2013, with social, non-economic, scientific and educational focus.
Initially, we started with a team of 19 psychologists, who participated in various areas of the aviation scenario, since the 1980s.
Headquartered in the city of Rio de Janeiro, it aims to bring together psychologists who are interested in the development of Psychology applied to the aeronautical environment, in favor of improving air transport safety conditions and the well-being of people who, directly or indirectly, are linked to this activity.

What is Aviation Psychology?

ABRAPAV defines Aviation Psychology as the application of the principles, methods and instruments of the various areas of Psychology to the aeronautical environment, aiming at promoting efficiency, effectiveness and operational safety, as well as the health and well-being of all those directly or indirectly linked to it.

Knowing a little more about Aviation Psychology!

The Flights of Psychology in Brazil: Studies and practices in aviation – book 2

This book, second volume of texts focused on Psychology and Aviation, is the result of a long work and fight of psychologists who have been developing their activities in the field of Aviation. When we say fight, it is to justify that in the Brazilian aeronautical and psychological scenario, there is still a need to recognize Psychology and psychologists as active and important professionals in the context of operational safety of air activities.
