ABRAPAV Live´s in our YouTube Channel

On May 24, 2023, the ABRAPAV, intermediated by Vice-President Marcia Fajer, received psychologist Maurício Pereira da Costa, 2nd Treasurer of ABRAPAV, and psychologist member of IBAP Juliana Bezerra Ignatti for a Live entitled “Psychological Assessment in Aviation”, where both brought their experiences about the practice and importance of Psychological Assessment in Military and Civil Aviation.

On July 14, 2022, ABRAPAV, intermediated by President Márcia Molinari, received Marcia Fajer, Vice President of ABRAPAV, and Associate Nagi Hanna for a Live entitled “Teaching Psychology in Aviation”, where both brought their experiences about the practice of teaching Psychology, both at undergraduate and graduate levels and in the different training courses offered in the aviation scenario.

In its second live on the channel, ABRAPAV brought, on June 2, 2022, the theme “Aviation Psychology: in the air and on land”, bringing a little of what constitutes the role of the psychologist in some jobs of the professionals who work in the air, such as pilots and flight attendants, and on land, in airports and air traffic.
The participants in this live, mediated by the Vice President of ABRAPAV, Marcia Fajer, were Psychologists Selma Ribeiro and Claudia Daemon, both associates and founders of ABRAPAV, who brought their experiences and views on the role of the psychologist in the complex aviation environment.

On May 11, 2022, ABRAPAV inaugurated its YouTube channel with the live “Maternity and Aviation: How to Harmonize?”, with ABRAPAV associates Psychologists Vanessa Dias and Mauro Matias as speakers.
The live was mediated by the Vice President of ABRAPAV, Psychologist Marcia Fajer.
The speakers pointed out a series of typical situations in the working life of crew members that require an adaptation of their routines for the best fit between professional and family roles.

Introduction to Aviation Psychology Course - Class 2022 - Online

ABRAPAV held, on July 26th and 28th and August 2nd and 4th, the 4th Introduction to Aviation Psychology Course, in online format.
The course was taught by members of the Board of Directors and had participants from different Brazilian states and Portugal.

Introduction to Aviation Psychology Course - Class 2020 - Online

Held on August 27th and 29th and September 1st and 3rd, in virtual format, the course had the participation of 07 (seven) participants from different parts of Brazil, who presented a very positive evaluation of all aspects involving the activities.
The experience showed the possibilities of carrying out courses and other activities to update/train psychologists to work in aviation, opening up important fronts for the dissemination of the Association and the psychologist's work in this area.

On October 27, 2018, the Introduction to Aviation Psychology Course was held in the city of Rio de Janeiro, taught by Selma Leal de Oliveira Ribeiro and Lisia Maria Espinola da Silva Pacheco Cabral.

II National Congress of ABRAPAV & I International Congress of Aviation Psychology

The Board of ABRAPAV promoted the II National Congress of ABRAPAV & I International Congress of Aviation Psychology, on the premises of EDX Coworking, located at Clube de Engenharia, Rio de Janeiro, from June 3 to 5, 2019.
The first day featured two short courses taught by representatives of the Spanish Association of Aviation Psychology - AEPA and the European Association of Aviation Psychology - EAAP.
On the other days, the program was divided between presentations of works, lectures and panels composed of psychologists representing different sectors of Brazilian and international aviation.
During the Congress, Book II was also launched: “The Flights of Psychology in Brazil - Studies and Practices in Aviation” (available only in pt-br), with articles by psychologists who are members of ABRAPAV and collaborators, organized by the Board of the Association.
About 90 people participated in the event, most of them psychologists, but also pilots and air traffic controllers, from different sectors of civil and military aviation.

I National Congress of ABRAPAV: Role of the Psychologist in Aviation - Updates and Perspectives

The Board of ABRAPAV promoted between the 25th and 26th of August 2016 the 1st ABRAPAV National Congress with the title: Role of the Psychologist in Aviation - Current Events and Perspectives. The event took place on the premises of the Anhembi-Morumbi University in the city of São Paulo-SP and was attended by 158 people (psychologists, students and other aviation professionals).
On the first day, in addition to the opening lecture entitled “The paths of Psychology in Aviation” given by the president of ABRAPAV Selma Leal de Oliveira Ribeiro, 7 discussion groups were held related to various segments of aviation with the objective of mapping relevant demands in the field of Brazilian Aviation Psychology and plan strategies to help psychologists to minimize difficulties encountered.
The second day's program included lectures, a round table and a panel on the role of psychologists in the areas of prevention, accident investigation and crisis management in aviation.
